Sandra L. Talaga

Sandra L. "Sandi" Talaga, nee Rose, age 74, of Schererville, IN, formerly of South Holland and Dolton, IL. Passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Beloved husband of 56 years of John J. Talaga. Devoted mother of Keith (Beverly) Talaga, Michelle (Rich) Batzek, and Greg (Lisette) Talaga. Proud grandmother of Tom (Katie), Brittany, Ava, Nicole, Caitlin, Kaylee, and Currine.

Sandi was an accomplished organist/pianist having played at St. Jude the Apostle Church in South Holland, IL, St. Maria Goretti Church in Dyer, IN, and Our Lady of Consolation Church in Merrillville, IN, with joy for many years.

Visitation Friday, June 20, 2014 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. Prayer service Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 7:15 a.m. from Smits Funeral Home - James E. Janusz Director 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN, 46311 to St. Maria Goretti Church (500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, In 46311) for a 8:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection with Rev. Joseph Vamos, Rev. Charles Niblick, and Rev. John Powers officiating. Interment Angelcrest Cemetery - Valparaiso, IN.

Sandi was a dear friend to all who knew her, and will be remembered and missed by the many lives she touched. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Charity of your Choice appreciated.
