Sandra J. Tinsley

Sandra J. Tinsley, nee Moore, age 85, of St. John, IN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  Loving wife of the late Stanley Tinsley.  Devoted mother of Stanley (Lorrie) Tinsley, and James (Cathy) Tinsley.  Proud grandmother of Kayla (Derek) Wolf, Stan Logan, Olivia, Jack, Eric, and Tommy.  Dearest sister of David (late Carol) Moore, Bob (Kathy) Newbould, and the late James Moore.  Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents James and Martha Moore.  Sandra was a prolific artist known for her mastery of various mediums, and encouragement towards other aspiring artists. She volunteered with many organizations, including BSA, Little League, and school PTO’s.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN.  Visitation Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Sandra’s funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN, with Rev. Charles Niblick officiating.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL.
