Sandra Jean Wilkening, nee Faber, age 75, of Lansing, IL, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018. Beloved wife of Jack E. Wilkening. Loving mother of Ann (Dan) Persenaire, John (Lea) Wilkening, and Keith (Amy) Wilkening. Devoted grandmother of Hannah, Adam, Annaleah, and Daniel Persenaire; Jack and Joshua Wilkening; and Alayna and Grant Wilkening.

Dear sister of Florence (late Herman) Westerveld, John (Faye) Faber, the late Dr. Norman (Arlene) Faber, and the late Karen (Paul) VanKley. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Dirk and Sadie Faber.

Visitation Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Ln. Dyer, IN. Funeral service Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Church, 2740 Indiana Ave., Lansing, IL with Rev. Leroy Childress officiating. Sandra worked as an instructor in the visually impaired department at School City of Hammond.  She enjoyed volunteering her time with organizations such as Friendship Club International and Camp Quality.  Memorials may be given   to Elim Christian Services, Camp Quality or Friendship Club International.
