Shawkat "Shaq" E. Al Hourani

Shawkat “Shaq” E. Al Hourani, age 19, of Rochelle, Illinois, formerly of Davis Junction, passed away September 20, 2019. Beloved son of Leticia Al Hourani (nee Velázquez) and Eihab Al Hourani.   Dear brother of Malec Al Hourani, Jenna Al Hourani and Yasmeen Al Hourani. Cherished grandson of Pascual and Teresa Velázquez and Shawkat and Nahil Al Hourani. Beloved nephew of Marco Velázquez, Luis Velázquez, Xochitl Velázquez, Esteban Velázquez, Hadeel (Anis) Fakhoury, Areej (Rami) Erafiej, Inas (Amer) Haddad and Ayman (Sana) Al Hourani. Beloved great-nephew of Santos (Suleyma) Rivera, Antonio (Alicia) Rivera, Andres (Pam) Rivera, and Ricardo (Mary Ann) Rivera.  Loving nephew to several other uncles and aunts, loving cousin to many as well as many friends.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Shaq was a first year pre-med student at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
