Shirley Anne Cook

Shirley Anne Cook, nee VanDerWal, age 72 of Dyer, IN left this earth peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022 to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother Jenny Molenhouse, her father Kenneth VanDerWal and her husband Dan Cook (divorced).  Shirley was a retired bookkeeper for DeYoung & Sons Furniture. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She leaves behind her daughter Richele (Jeff) Wright, and her son Robert Cook. Her three beautiful grandkids Nicholas (Angela) Wright, Stephanie (Brandon) Marlatt and Zachary (Ashley) Wright.  Also, six precious great grandchildren Weston, Emerson, Elliot, Graham, Deacon and Delaney. She was a devoted daughter of Mary Jane Winter, nee VanDerWal. Dear sister of Ken (Marilou) VanDerWal and Judy (Dave) DeGraff. Sister-in-law of Richard (Nancy) Cook and Doris (Dan) Ruiter.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
