Shirley Jean Hofstra, nee Nelson, age 90, of South Holland, IL passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017.  Beloved wife of John Hofstra.  Loving mother of Gary (Gayle) Hofstra and the late Pamela (late Ben) Lindemulder.  Devoted grandmother of Matt (Kristen) Lindemulder, Chad Hofstra, Jodi Hofstra, Katie (Miguel) Cruz, and the late Michael Hofstra and great-grandmother of Caleb, Madelyn, Addison,and Hailey Lindemulder and Christian Pena.  Dear sister of the late Elaine (late Nick) Deenik and the late Howard Nelson.  Visitation, Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN.  Funeral Service, Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Glenwood-Lansing Rd., Lansing, IL with services conducted by Rev. Cal Aardsma and Rev. Herm Schutt. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery - Elwood, IL.  Memorial contributions may be given to Elim Christian Services or Evangelical Child and Family Association.
