Shirley C. Lau, nee VanderWoude, age 89, of South Holland, IL, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Ted Lau. Dearest sister of the late Wilma and Wendell VanderWoude. Kind aunt of Karen Kooima. Loving cousin of many. Preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Fannie VanderWoude. Visitation Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church (16556 Cottage Grove Ave. South Holland, IL 60473) with Rev. Joseph Brinks officiating. Private family interment at Homewood Memorial Gardens Cemetery – Homewood, IL. Shirley was an Executive Secretary for the Edward Hines Lumber Co. for over 40 years and a faithful volunteer at the Bible League for 19 years. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Bible League International (3801 Eagle Nest Dr. Crete, IL 60417) are greatly appreciated.
