Shirley I. Slover

Shirley I. Slover, nee Roop, age 90, of Crete, IL passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.  Beloved wife of the late Homer Slover.  Formerly married to the late Alex “Red” DeSandre.  Loving mother of Jonette Joseph, the late Richard Huber, the late John DeSandre, Antonia (John) King, the late Shirley (late Jim) Davis, Angelina Caprio, and Jon’Al (Benjamin) Santiago.  Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Tom and Mike; preceded in death by her siblings Corky, Skippy, Ann, Jean, and Dave.  Shirley was a very kind and generous person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand.  She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
