Simon Visser

Simon Visser, age 95 of Orland Park, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 11,2013. Survived by his faithful wife, of almost 72 years, Jennie (nee DeJong); children: Sharlotte (Glenn) Smits, Simon (1944-1991) (Arlene), Mervin (Sharon), Arlene (Richard 1946-1984) Evenhouse, Alan (1952-2001) (Maridel), Janis (Bob) Iwema, Carol (1960-2003) (David) Rozema; 20 grandchildren,and 33 great grandchildren; brothers in law Dr. George DeJong and Bernie Werkman, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his children Simon, Alan, Carol, son in law Richard, and grandson Joshua. Also preceded by his brother Menno and sisters Anna Borgman and Grace Werkman. Visitation Friday March 15 from 3:00- 8:00pm at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland,IL. Funeral Service, Saturday March 16, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Mr. Visser was a WWII Army Veteran and a Coca-Cola route salesman for over 32 years. Memorials may be given to Elim Christian Services or the Back to God Hour.
