Sondra L. Budde

Sondra L. Budde, nee Guhl, age 88, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Glenwood, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Russell P. Budde. Loving mother of Gregory (Jodi) Budde, Christopher Budde, Jennifer (Andrew) Lovett, the late Jeffrey Budde, and the late Deborah (David) Bloom. Cherished grandma of Steven Vettese, Francisca (Grace) Holguin, Phillip Budde, Amanda (Steven) Matyas, Sandra (Shawn) Ovalle, Brittney (Erick) Short, Jessica Ovalle, Brandi (Anthony) Colley, Gregory Budde Jr., Danial Hoover, Matthew Lovett, Andrew Hoover, Tiffany Hoover, and Channing (Brian) Chandler; great-grandma of 24; great-great-grandma of three. Preceded in death by her parents Paul and Leona Guhl. Sondra was a school bus driver for Kickert Bus Lines for several years. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Friday, October 23, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Visitation also on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 508 N. Chicago Rd. Thornton, IL. Interment Oak Glen Lutheran Cemetery – Lansing, IL.
