Sonya L Gile

Sonya Lee Gile was born on December 10, 1934, to the late Michael and Helen (Wesolowski) Kurz in Camden, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by both parents and two sisters, Elizabeth and Geraldine (Ben) Opyt. On August 30, 1958, she was united in holy matrimony to Neil C. Gile at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Chicago. They were the parents of six children. While raising her children, Sonny worked seasonally at the United States Post Office and for the U.S. Census Bureau. Sonny retired from First Brands Corporation after more than 20 years of service. On Sunday, January 23, 2011, Sonny departed this life to be with Our Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: David (Sue) of St. John, Indiana, Terry (Ana) of New Jersey, and Scott (Pam) of Arizona; and three daughters: Donna of Dolton, Illinois, Carla of California and Sue Ellis (Keith) of Lansing, Illinois. Sonny was grandmother of 15: David, Jennifer, Heather, the late Jason, Kelly, Michele, Traci, LaToya, Michael, Angela, Rick, Carey, Nichole, Tresa and Jordan. She was great-grandmother of 31; Aunt of the late Kirk and Lisa, as well as dear friend of Theresa Wilson and Shirley Allen.
