Steven L. VanDommelen, age 70, of New Lenox, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Beloved husband of Brenda VanDommelen, nee Beukema. Loving father of Ryan (Allison) VanDommelen, René (Mike) Sherman, and David (Liz) VanDommelen. Cherished grandfather of Zachary, Nicholas, Conner, Mady, and Evan. Dear brother of Daniel (Bev) VanDommelen and Kathy (Steve) Schaaf. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Jasper VanDommelen and Blanche E. Schroeder.

Steven was a systems analyst and owned Van Dommelen Enterprises. He was a man of faith who cherished his family and always put other people first. He was dedicated to serving others and lived with a generous heart. He also loved sports, especially the White Sox. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Visitation Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church 100 W 81st Ave, Dyer, IN. Interment Memory Lane Memorial Park—Crown Point, IN.
