Susan Lynn Barnes

Susan Lynn Barnes, née Joyce, passed away September 7th in Crossville Tennessee. She lived most of her life in Steger. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Francis & Loretta Joyce, her beloved dog Sony and cat Floyd. She is survived by her son Christopher Barnes, her grandchildren Sadie Barnes, Christopher Strange, Nicole Michels (Ryan), Danielle Hryckiewicz (Beesan), her great grandchildren Gavin and Alexis Michels, her dogs Chewy & Harry, cat Simba, her siblings Carol Kraus (James), Patricia Bub (Daniel), Thomas Joyce (Julie), Janet Sobbe (Scott) and many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. She loved animals, nature, travel, and music. Susan was full of laughter, kind, and touched many lives. She will live on in our hearts, and in the many stories we share of her. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL) from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Friday, September 16, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery - Steger, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family appreciated.
