Susan R. Gonya

Susan R. Gonya, nee Schilling, age 69, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Beloved wife of Robert Gonya. Loving mother of Daniel Gonya and Michael (Lisa) Gonya. Cherished daughter of Elsie and the late Charlton Schilling.  Dear sister of Steven Schilling, Scott (Ann) Schilling, and Stanley (Cynthia) Schilling.  Aunt of several nieces and nephews. Susan was a longtime registered nurse at Trinity Hospital in Chicago. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial visitation Friday, April 22, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162 ^nd St. South Holland, IL. Memorial service Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave. Munster, IN with Rev. Peter Speckhard officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or PAWS .
