View Video Tribute Tena Smits, nee Van Til, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Tena was preceded in death by her husband William in 2001. She is survived by four children: Janet (Fredric) Burghgraef of Grand Rapids, MI, Glenn (Sharlotte) Smits of Steger, IL, Wesley (Donna) Smits of Denver, CO, and David (Lois) Smits of Holland, MI; 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great- Grandchildren; Sisters and Brothers: Ann(late Harm) Bakker, late Dick(Clara) Van Til, Dorothy(late Al) Bakker, late Joe(Henrietta) Norman, late Jake(late Alice) Norman, late Gerrit( Christine) Norman, and the late Ermina(late Martin) Norman.
