Terry L. Walstra of Bowling Green, KY, age 63, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully
on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Beloved husband of Marlene Walstra (Mulder). Devoted father
of Michael Walstra and Jaclyn Walstra. Brother of Jerry (Kim) Walstra and Uncle to Jennifer and
Rebecca Walstra. Brother-In-Law to Timothy (Nancy) Mulder and Larry (late Sharon) Mulder.
Uncle to Andrew (Kathy) Mulder and Kelly Mulder-Hall. Preceded in death by parents Lawrence
“Wally” and Jean Walstra. Proud member of IBEW Local Union 697 for over 40 years. Member
of Bethel CRC in Lansing, IL. Terry was an avid street rod enthusiast with a fun-loving
personality that lit up every room he walked into. Above all, he was an incredibly loving
husband, father, brother, and friend to all.
Visitation Monday, February 26, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121
Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at
10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Cal Aardsma officiating. Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery
– Lansing, IL and luncheon to follow at Bethel CRC in Lansing, IL. In lieu of flowers, please
consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, attn:
“In Memory of Terry Walstra”.
