Thelma "Sally" Joe Moore

Thelma Joe “Sally” Moore, nee Swinford, age 81, of Sauk Village, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Richard T. Moore. Loving mother of Mark Moore, Brenda (David) Wolford, and Linda (Arthur) Look. Cherished grandmother of Steven (Janet) Wolford, Danielle (Nicholas) Bacon, and Melissa (Jason) Bultema; great grandmother of Kelley, Jesse, Aubrey Wolford, Charlie and Mia Bacon. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews, cousin to many. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; Joe Swinford and Mattie Sue (nee Maness) Nelis and brother Danney Swinford. Sally worked as a bookkeeper, cashier, and custodian before retiring at age 70. She enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, gambling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation to be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 12:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL. Interment private at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens – Schererville, IN. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of America.
