Theodore George Harms

Theodore George Harms, age 93, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2015. Beloved husband of 62 years to Charlene Harms nee Nordbrock. Loving father of Judy (Marty) Benninghoff and Sandy (Dean) Spitz. Cherished grandfather of Bob Dannowitz, Amy Dannowitz, Lori Dannowitz, Bryan (Carly) Dannowitz, Shelby, Derek and Gavin Spitz, Wendy (Rob) Bradford and Scott (Becky) Benninghoff. Great grandfather of Liam Bradford, Diana and Cara Benninghoff. Dear brother of Alda Eisele and Leona (Frank) Gustafson. Preceded in death by his parents Theodore Henry Harms and Mathilda Hoger-Harms, four sisters: Victoria, Marie, Ramona, Vallmere, and six brothers: Alvin, Ernest, Orville, Wesley, Russell and LeRoy. Theodore was a WWII Army Veteran. He retired from Montgomery Ward Paint Factory after 39 years of service. He continued on working as a handyman. Visitation Wednesday December 30, 2015 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, Illinois. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church 330 W Highland Dr, Chicago Heights, IL. Interment at St. Paul''s Lutheran Cemetery - Flossmoor, IL.
