Theresa Eggebrecht

Theresa Eggebrecht, age 93, of Thornton, IL, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026. Loving mother of Ed (Amy) Eggebrecht, Joe-Dokes Fenstermacher, Georgia Farrar, Ted (Cindy) Fenstermacher, late Terry Smith, Roy (Patricia) Fenstermacher, Karen (Gary) Zandy. Cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her first husband Ernest Fenstermacher and her second husband Edward Eggebrecht as well as all her siblings Jean Prete, Grace O’Conner, Virginia Bright, Chet Pluta, and Ben Pluta.

She was known to many as “Mother Theresa” because of her kind and loving nature. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Friday, May 22, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. directly at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2505 Indiana Ave, Lansing, IL with Rev. Ryan Reese officiating. Interment Homewood Memorial Gardens—Homewood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
