Therese F. Mcdonough

Therese F. “Terry” McDonough, nee Crabb, age 98, Tinley Park formerly longtime Dolton, IL, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 22, 2025. Loving wife of the late John M. McDonough.  Devoted mother of John Michael (Terry) McDonough, Mary Therese McGushin, and Francis Joseph McDonough.  Proud grandmother of Megan McGushin, Jacqueline (Joseph) Wirth, Ryan (Hailey) McGushin, and Faith McDonough; great-grandmother "G.G." of Michael, Fallon, Sydney, Brooks, Nellie, and Eden.  Dearest sister of Sr. Jeanne Finske, Anne (Frank) Chastler, and WWII Navy Vet  the late Robert Finske who was killed in service to our country.  Kind aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mary Therese Crabb.  Terry was an E.R. nurse, an organist for many years, and a loving mother of 3 adopted children. Terry was loved by her family, and many friends, and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel James E. Janusz, Director 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL.  Lying in state Monday, March 3, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Terry’s funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. for parishioners and dear friends, directly at Christ Our Savior/St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church 900 E. 154th St. South Holland, IL, with Rev. Gosbert Rwezahura and Deacon Jim Renwick officiating.  Interment Assumption Cemetery – Glenwood, IL.
