Thom Dean Howell

Thom Dean Howell, age 74, of Schererville, IN, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 13, 2024.  Loving husband of the late Karen Lyn Howell, nee Bellinghausen.  Devoted dad of Tanya Sheely, Brian (Mary Lou) Norris, and Tiffany (John) Blosky.  Cherished papa of seven.  Dear brother of Kevin (Jean) Howell.  Kind uncle of Zac and Paul Howell.  Preceded in death by his parents Harold Dean and Vera Howell.  Thom's service dog "Honey" was his pride and joy.  Thom was loved by his family, and friends, and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Visitation Friday, April 19, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Thom’s funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN, with Rev. Charles Niblick officiating.  Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery – Schererville, IL.
