Thomas Van Amstel

Thomas D. Van Amstel, age 51, of Schererville, IN passed on to eternal life with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Tom is survived by his wife Mary Ann Van Amstel nee Meyer; his mother Coralee Van Amstel; one brother: John (Shelley) Van Amstel; two sisters: Trudy (Bob) Van Wieren and Mari Lou (Ken) Van Der Wal; two brothers-in-law: Robert Meyer and Gary (Joy) Meyer; one sister-in-law: Carol (Glenn) Schaap; many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Van Amstel in 1991. Visitation Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 2 till 8 P.M. at Faith Church (100 - 81st Ave. Dyer, IN). Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11 A.M. at Faith Church with services conducted by Rev. Robert Bouwer. Private Interment. Tom was the owner of Ridgeway Carstar in Lansing, an avid golfer and traveler, and a member of Faith Church with a heart for the Caring Ministry at Faith. He loved animals and will be missed by his dogs Cosmo and Rocket.
