Thomas “Santa” E. Bermingham, age 82, of Dyer, IN, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. Beloved husband of Sandra L. Bermingham, nee Salvato. Loving father of Teresa Bartolini and Carrie (Kevin) Coleman) Bermingham.  Proud grandfather of Myiah Bermingham and David Bartolini Jr.  Dear brother of Dennis (Sharon) Bermingham, Keith (Elsie) Bermingham, Bradley Bermingham, late Tim (late Ellen) Bermingham, late Patrick (Janis) Bermingham, late Kevin Bermingham, late Debra Bermingham, and the late Judy (Alan) Clark. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Also preceded in death by his parents Edmond and Winifred Bermingham.

Visitation Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN.  Funeral service Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Phillip Muvich officiating. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL. Tom was a United States Marine Corps and Navy Vietnam veteran, and a member of Dyer VFW Post 6448.  He was a switchman for Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad.  He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.  Memorial contributions may be given to Toys for Tots .
