Thomas H. Cipich

Thomas H. Cipich, age 87, of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026. Beloved husband of Joan Cipich, nee Kmiec. Loving father of Andrew (late Rose) Cipich, Michael (Lisa) Cipich, Theresa (Rob) Majnarich, Anthony (Kristen) Cipich, and Mark Cipich. Cherished grandfather of Erica (Jim) Lezon, Matthew Cipich, Kyle (Laken) Majnarich, Alan Cipich, Keith Cipich, Corryn Cipich, Luke (Megan) Cipich, Jacob (Rachel) Cipich, and Rachel (fiancé Tyler Murphy) Cipich. Great-grandfather of Austin and Connor Lezon, Melody and James Cipich, Elane and Genevieve Cipich, and River Humphrey. Dear brother of the late Andrew (Virginia) Cipich and Paul Cipich. Kind uncle of several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Tillie Cipich. Thomas served with the Army National Guard. He was a Knights of Columbus member of the Fourth Degree and a former Grand Knight. Thomas was a member of The Order of the Arrow and a Scoutmaster Troop #409. He was an AIST (Association for Iron & Steel Technology) member and executive officer. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. with funeral ceremonies beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to Carmelite Ministry of St. Theresa. Checks made to Knights of Columbus – Lansing Council 3540.
