Thomas F. Lanigan, age 73, of South Holland, IL, passed away suddenly Monday, February 22, 2016. Beloved husband of Marilyn A. Lanigan, nee Russell. Loving father of the late Thomas F. Lanigan, Kathleen (Patrick) Getty, Diane (Mitchell Gabel) Lanigan, Peggy (John Wanzung) Lanigan. Proud grandfather of Patrick, Sean, Michael, Tom, Jack, Connor, and Nora. Devoted brother of Terrence (Maureen), Michael, Maurice (Karen) Lanigan, and Ellen (Charles) Crowhurst; brother-in-law of Ronald (Susan) Russell. Caring uncle, cousin of many, and survived by loyal friends. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Helen Lanigan. Tom was a lifelong Notre Dame fan, dedicated coach, and loving family man.
