Thomas W. Kienzle

Thomas W. Kienzle, age 86, of Lansing formerly of Dolton, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, July 28, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” Kienzle, nee McBride. Devoted father of Tom (Kathy), Jerry (Jean) Kienzle, Kathy (Mike) Sherry, John Kienzle, Jean (John) Ciserella, Kevin (Shelley), Michael (Peggy) Kienzle, Jane (Joe) Cavoto, Mardell (Tom) Kelly, and Phillip (Deanna) Kienzle. Proud grandfather of Kaitlin, Caroline, Claire, Maggie, Jeff, Jill, Jaclyn, John, Joe, Emmitt, Jack, KayLee, Ryan, Jason, Dylan, Liam, Owen, Ian, and Hannah; great-grandfather of Gabriella, Roman, Max. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Genevieve nee McMurrough, and Florence Kienzle, sister: Marjorie brother: Jack, and grandson James. Dyer, IN 46311 to St. Thomas More Catholic Church (8501 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN 46321) for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Michael O’Keefe, O.Carm., officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery – Alsip IL. Mr. Kienzle graduated from De La Salle High School in 1948, proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces, was a Honorary graduate at St. Ambrose University & Mt. Carmel High School, a dedicated employee at Ryerson Steel, and golf coach/security at Mt. Carmel High School for many years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the “Men of Carmel Fund” Mt. Carmel High School (6410 S. Dante Ave, Chicago, IL 60637) greatly appreciated.
