Thomas J. Lucia, Age 89, passed away on December 5, 2015. Veteran of WWII.Beloved husband of Mary (nee Trinchine) Lucia. Loving father of Lynn (Bruce) Werth of Crete and Tom (Lois) Lucia of Skokie. Cherished grandfather of Dana (Dan) Teefey, Curtis Werth, Amy and Julie Lucia. Proud great grandfather of Adelaide, Miriam and Teshetae Teefey. Dear brother of John (Nadine) of Manhattan, Jim (Estelle) of Detroit and the late Joe Lucia.Tom was employed as a rate manager for 30 years at the C&EI Railroad which became the ICG Railroad; retiring at the age of 59. Following his retirement, he worked at Allied Tube for ten years and was also a ranger at Deer Creek Golf Course.Visitation Tuesday, December 8, 2015from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Road, Steger, IL.Funeral Mass Wednesday, December 9,2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Liborius Church, 71 W. 35th Street, Steger.
