Thomas E. Proctor "Tommy", age 76, of Beecher, formerly of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2016. Beloved husband of Melba Proctor nee Dixon. Loving father of Devereaux "Dev" Proctor, Christopher "Chris" (Pamela) Proctor, and Stephanie Proctor. Cherished grandfather of Natalie and Jessica Proctor. Dear brother of Billy (Patricia) Proctor and Louise (Ed) Davis. Tommy was preceded in death by his brother Hubert Proctor, sister Jean Robinson, parents Louis C. and Ruth Chapman-Proctor, and nephew Joseph Proctor. Tommy taught High School Mechanical Drawing for twelve years in Georgia and Maryland and retired as President of American Technical Publishers after 25 years of service. Tommy also enjoyed woodworking. Visitation Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, Illinois.
