Thomas "Tom" William Zimmer

Thomas “Tom” William Zimmer, age 55, of Steger, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Beloved husband of Melissa Zimmer nee Rizzuto. Loving father of Tommy Zimmer. Dear brother of Jeff (Mal) Zimmer, Jenny (John) Ohrt and Susan (John) Weber. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Diane Zimmer. His favorite pastime was watching his son play basketball. Tom will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation to be held Friday, January 20, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, Illinois, 60475. Funeral Service to be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Crete, Illinois. Interment to follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
