Tillie Huizenga

Tillie Huizenga nee Ketelaar, age 92, of Lansing, IL, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Tillie is survived by two sons, Henry J. (Marsha) Huizenga of Highland, IN and Jim Huizenga of Lansing; daughter Marilou (Kevin) Ooms of Lansing; five grandchildren: Kevin (Katie) Huizenga, Lisa (Doug) Vander Molen, Julie Ooms, Sara Ooms, and Justin Ooms; two great-grandchildren: Ella and Jay Vander Molen; sisters, Christine (Clarence) Schurman, Ruth (Conrad) Van Swol, Dorothy Anker; sister-in-law, Alice Ketelaar; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Huizenga; parents, Jacob and Sadie Ketelaar; brothers, Peter and Jacob Ketelaar; sisters, Teresa Witvliet, Ida Douma, Clarine Hoeksema, and Marilyn Ketelaar. Visitation Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN 46311. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Glen United Reformed Church (2244 Indiana Ave., Lansing, IL) with services conducted by Rev. John Vermeer. Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery - Lansing, IL. Tillie was a devoted mother and grandmother who faithfully exhibited the love of her Savior. She was a member of the Oak Glen United Reformed Church in Lansing. Memorial contributions may be given to Bethshan Association (12927 S.
