Timothy E Behrens

Timothy Earl Behrens, age 80, of Crete, Il, formerly of Dolton and Roseland, passed into a better world on March 16, 2024.  Husband of Geri (nee Gotfryd) for 57 years, father of the late Timothy James (TJ, 1971-2017), brother of Patricia Reid, Arlene Alcott, Clyde (Babe) and Karen Sneed.

Tim made many friends throughout the years and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, and many times to Las Vegas, as well as several cruises.  The Izaak Walton league in Dolton, Illinois played a big role in his life and he helped with many parties there.  Although usually a quiet man, he could be quite the opposite…his most famous role may have been as a hawaiian king arriving from across the lake at Iwla to crown a queen (his beloved mother).  Tim loved to cook and he loved to eat.  He could clean a bone better than most dogs.  His favorite song was Sultans of Swing (he knew almost all the words) and his favorite dance move was the “bugs bunny” as only he could perform.  He had an infectious laugh and was a strong man to the very end.  He will be forever loved and forever missed.  Donations in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
