Listen to Obituary

Timothy “Silver Fox” Harris, age 75, of Schererville, IN, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026. Beloved husband of Katherine Harris, nee Sandelski. Loving father of Jeremy (Jackie) Harris, Joshua (Christy) Harris, and Jillian Wachel. Proud grandfather of Nicholas (fiancée Janisa), Lylianah, Bostyn, Gouveia, and Brec. Dear brother of Cindy (Dave) Johnson, Bambi (Tim) Hunt, Daniel (Theresa) Kerr, and the late Julie Kerr. Kind uncle of several nieces and nephews and god-father of Veronica Sandelski. Preceded in death by his parents Luther and Beverly Kerr.

Tim worked 45 years as a welder repairman for Ford Motor Co. in Chicago Heights. When he wasn’t at the plant, Tim was a diehard White Sox fan, likely spending many afternoons cheering on the South Siders. However, his greatest joy was his role as “Papa.” Even with his often tough exterior, he was generous, supportive and will be missed dearly.
