Timothy J. Igielski was born in Chicago, IL on March 27, 1954. He unexpectedly passed on January 16, 2026. He is preceded in death by his mother, Esther Igielski of Lansing, IL, his father, Rudoph (Rudy) Igielski and brother, Richard (Ricky) Igielski of Chicago, IL.

Tim is survived by his wife Debrah (Lindholm) Igielski, his daughters, Michaelene Igielski, Stacey (Christopher) Somervell, grandchildren, Alexandria Dakota Weldon, Cheyenne Somervell, and Christopher (Bubby) Somervell; his step-children Ray Schemel, Matt Schemel,Jeff Schemel, and Leslie Schemel, their children his grandchildren, Alexis Heabel, Dylan Heabel, Ava Heabel, Emily Heabel and C.T. Schemel, his sister, Pamela (Igielski) O’Sullivan, his nieces, Shannon (O’Sullivan) Weltlich and Jillian O’Sullivan, and the entire Fezler family. Tim is already missed by his beloved dog, Max.

Tim grew up in The Bush Neighborhood of Chicago and graduated from Chicago VocationalHigh School before working at several machine shops and steel mills throughout his career. Tim retired from Winpak Portion Packaging in South Chicago Heights, IL where he worked as aMaterial Handler. He was a dedicated employee and valued the many friendships he made over the years.

Tim enjoyed woodworking and had amazing carpentry skills. He would show up with his hammer in hand willing to help out anyone who needed to complete a home project. Tim built many decks and porches in his day. As a member of the St. James Church in Sauk Village, IL, Tim co-wrote several Playhouse storylines and help build the stages and sets throughout the years. 

Tim loved fishing and was on several bowling leagues. He loved watching Westerns and was a big fan of John Wayne who once claimed, “I’m the stuff men are made of.” This too could be said of Tim, he was loyal, caring, hardworking and will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, he was always there to make everyone smile…He truly was the stuff men are made of.
