Tom R. Whitaker, 65, of Crete, IL. passed away April 19, 2006. Tom is survived by his wife Sharon Whitaker nee Piazza of Crete,IL., daughter: Kelly(Jeff)Clark of Crete, IL , son: Tim(Julie)Whitaker of Bloomington,IL. and four grandsons. Tom is also survived by two sisters: Mary Lou (Jim)Mullins of Tullahoma,TN. ,Diane(Mike)Hatch of Rio Frio, TX and one brother Danny(Kathy)Whitaker of Crete, IL. Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Charles(Della) and brother Jim. Visitation will be Friday April 21, 2006 from 3:00 " 9:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.) Funeral Saturday 10:00am at Steger Memorial Chapel.
