Velma Guillermo Hernandez

Velma Guillermo-Hernandez, age 53, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024.  Loving wife of Ramiro Hernandez.  Devoted mother of Ulyssa Hernandez, Priscilla Hernandez, and Amaya Hernandez. Dearest sister of Joe Guillermo, San Juana Guillermo, Victoria Castillo, late Yolanda (Alberto) Espinosa, Diana Garcia, Arnulfo (Stacey) Guillermo, Norma Tuggle, Arturo (Eva) Guillermo, Bernice Rodriguez, late Nestor Guillermo, and Lorinda (Rick) Poole.  Kind aunt and great-aunt of many nieces, and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents Asencion and Guadalupe Guillermo.  Velma loved spending time with her grand-pups Laila and Arlo.  She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend who will be terribly missed.

Visitation Friday, September 6, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN.  Interment Skyline Memorial Park – Monee, IL.
