Vereen "Dolly" Zafros

Vereen Dolly A. Zafros, nee Mugg, age 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Mrs. Zafros is survived by two daughters: Kathleen(Gerald) Huizenga and Carol(Glenn) Spoolstra; 3 grandchildren: Tim(Teresa) Huizenga, Julie(Nathan) Jann, and Lisa(Joshua) Blocker; 3 great-grandchildren: Matthew and Luke Huizenga and Kade Blocker; a nephew: Robert Mugg and a niece: Phyllis Gurgel. She was preceded in death by her husband: George Zafros and a brother: Henry Mugg. Visitation Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane(Rt.30& Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN. Funeral service Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Grace Reformed Church, 2740 Indiana Ave., Lansing, IL, with Rev. Andy Nearpass officiating. Private interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery " Chicago, IL. Dolly was a member of Grace Reformed Church in Lansing and was a long time church organist and piano teacher in the area.
