Vern (Lester) "Sonny" Ratliff, age 78, of Dyer, IN, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014. Dear husband of Glenda Ratliff, nee Reinbolt. Loving dad of Rebecca Ratliff, Shane (Jackie) Ratliff, Christine (William) Murray, Michael Wojcik, Dawn (Jim) Witczak, and Jennifer (Jason) Naddy. Best papa of 14; Great-papa of 3. Dearest brother of Charlene Holabough and the late Euthel Dixon. Preceded in death by his parents Lester C. and Tishie Ratliff. Vern was an extremely talented auctioneer who worked throughout the Midwest region. Visitation Monday, March 31, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN 46311 with Rev.
