Violet D. Andersen

Violet D. Andersen, nee Peters, age 97, of Thornton, IL, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Andersen.  Loving mother of Kathleen (Robert) Reingold, late Andrew (Judy) (former wife Nancy) Andersen, and the late Vernon Andersen.  Cherished grandmother of Randall Reingold, Eric (Rachel) Andersen, Bryan (Cindy) Andersen, and Vernon “JR” Andersen; great-grandmother of Gage, Dane, Mackenzie, Annaliese, and the late Curtis Andersen.  Preceded in death by her siblings Anna, Wilber, Richard, Herman, Robert, Helen, and Clarence Peters. Also preceded in death by her parents Christian John and Anna Peters(on) nee Diekelman.

Visitation Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. South Holland, IL with Rev. Duane Fluechtling officiating.  Interment Oak Glen Cemetery – Lansing, IL.
