Violet M. Crow

Violet M. Crow, nee Franson, age 90, of Beecher, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019.  She was the loving mother of Mark (Monica) Crow, Sandra (John) Roe, Scott Crow, and Nanci (Steve) Nydam and the proud grandmother of Raymond (Megan) Johnson, Stephani Nydam, Austin Nydam, Matthew Crow, and Brandon Crow, and great-grandmother of Jameson Lee and Hudson.  She was also the dear sister of Dorothy Pentel.   Preceded in death by her former husband Dale Crow.  The visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 with a funeral service at 7:00 P.M. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN.  Violet was loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Violet was a woman of integrity, responsibility, hard work, and true Christian values and faith.  Violet's main characteristic, however, was that she always addressed people with the truth - as she saw it - and was never afraid to stand up for it even in the face of rejection... just as our Lord Jesus did! Finally, she was proud to be a student at Purdue University (studying Psychology) while at the same time, carrying on her responsibilities as wife and mother.
