Virginia A. Tony, nee Shefts, age 93, of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully Monday, January 16, 2017. Devoted mother of Virginia (Eugene) Jobin, Eileen (late Thomas) Brann, Denise (John) Curry, Barbara (Kevin) O’Malley, the late John Jr., and the late Kenneth Tony. Proud grandmother of 5 granddaughters and one deceased grandson; great-grandmother of 3. Kind aunt of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Catherine Shefts, two sisters and two brothers. Visitation Friday, January 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at Noon at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL 60473. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL.
