Walter LeRoy Boreman III, age 52, of Tinley Park, IL, passed away Monday, October 7th, 2024.

Beloved husband of Mary Boreman, nee Sandifer. Loving father of Walter Boreman IV and John Boreman. Dear brother of Christopher (Amy) Boreman, Elizabeth (Jason) Rodriguez, Amanda Schoenecker, and Daniel (Charity) Montry. Proud uncle of Daniel, Dakota, Caylee, Alexander, Brayden, Evyanna, Nicholas, Joshua, Logan, Alexis, Sebastian, Grace, Eldon, and Elliott. Great-uncle to Prince, Aaliyah, and Ezran. Honorary uncle to Delilah and Seamus. Cherished nephew of Catherine (late Jim) Schnur, late Sharon (Dan) MacGlashing, Deborah (Paul) Kunis, Peter (Jeannette) Boreman, Mary (Robert) Berry, Janet (Dennis) Hanson, Bill (Debi) Boreman, Phyllis Jelderks, Doris (Charles Sumner) Hoover, and the late Charles (Barbara) Jackson. Son-in-law of Larry Sandifer. Dear brother-in-law of Larry Sandifer II and Jennifer Mathis. Cherished cousin to many. Preceded in death by his parents Walter Jr and Brenda Boreman, grandparents Walter and Mary Boreman, and Clarence and Nellie Gogue.

Walter, known to most as Wally, was also affectionately known as "Lil Bo" to family. He was born April 15, 1972 at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, IL. He was raised in Sauk Village, IL.

Wally was a graduate of Bloom Trail High School. He was on the wrestling team as well as football. Wally earned All-Conference honors in SICA East for football. His passion for sports extended beyond the field, as he was a diehard Chicago Bears fan, with the Da Bears bringing home a W for him on Sunday Oct. 6th.

Wally was a proud 3rd generation Local #1 Ironworker out of Chicago. Wally was a devoted father to his two sons, who were truly his greatest pride and joy. He cherished every moment spent traveling across the United States with them, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Wally was also an extraordinary math savant, and often amazed those around him with his numerical prowess. He also was a big Civil War history buff and was proud to attend a reenactment with his sons in Gettysburg, PA.
