Walter H O'Keefe

Walter H. O''Keefe, age 90, of Dolton, IL, passed away peacefully, March 30, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy M. O''Keefe, nee Englin. Devoted father of Howard O''Keefe, Lauren O''Keefe, and Carol Candell. Proud grandfather of 6, great-grandfather of 16, and great-great-grandfather of one. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Walter W. and Hulda O''Keefe. Mr. O''Keefe was a 1st SGT. U.S.M.C. Veteran having proudly served in WWII, Korea, Bay of Pigs, and Vietnam. Mr. O''Keefe was also a longtime member of the South Holland V.F.W. Post #9964. Visitation Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL, 60473 with Rev.
