Walter W. Bud Peck, age 89, of South Holland, IL. Passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008. Loving brother of the late Marianne (late Rudy) Havel. Beloved uncle of Louise and Roger Sanzenbacher and Carol Sue (Donald) Smith; Beloved great-uncle of Lisa (Michael Herbeck) Sanzenbacher and Beth (Paul Johns) Sanzenbacher; Loving great-uncle of Jennifer (Neil) Boyle, Thomas Smith, Kathleen (James) Tomczak and Meghan (Jeff) Mattison. Devoted uncle of Michael and William Baker and the late Clifford Parmalee and James Baker. Devoted brother of Betty (late Roy) Parmalee, Carol Peggy (late James) Baker, and the late Louise, Mark Buster , Helen, James Jimmy Ike , LaVon Bonnie Flannery, and Phillip. Although afflicted with polio at the age of four, Bud played CYO baseball and basketball. He was a terrific bowler and golfer, with a hole-in-one to his name. He was an avid sports fan and a life-long White Sox fan. He could always be seen in the bleachers at Comiskey Park and at the Sarasota Spring Training Camp as his home away from home. Bud was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Greatest uncle, great-uncle and White Sox fan ever! Visitation Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL.
