Warren Sellers Smart

Warren S. Smart, age 93, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, formally a 63-year resident of Miller Woods/Steger, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Beloved husband of 70 wonderful years to Jean U. Smart nee Doyle. Loving father to Kathleen (Thomas) Weishaar, Carolynn (Dave) Fields and Steven Smart. Warren was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was very much looking forward to celebrating his upcoming 94th birthday with his family. He was preceded in death by his brother Wayne E. Bishop, his sister Marion Garcia, and his parents Warren Smart and Agnes Sellers Smart. He will be greatly missed.

Warren was a proud member of the U.S. Navy and then the U.S. Army, a machinist tool maker for Allis Chalmers and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Steger. He also enjoyed square dancing, horseshoes and bridge. A private graveside service will be held at Homewood Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Smits Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Road, Steger, IL 708-755-6100.
