Wayne Kortum, age 82, of South Holland, IL passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Beloved husband of Lillian Kortum, nee Page. Loving father of Wayne Michael Kortum, Debbie (fiancé Richard Patton) Van Allen, Sharon (Richard ) Sommer, and Bob Kortum. Devoted grandfather of Jennifer Van Allen, Tim Van Allen, Amanda (Jake) Atkinson, Dianne (Joseph) Fish, Billy Van Allen, and Brett Brown and great-grandfather of Evelyn Fish. Dear brother of Dennis (April) Kortum and the late Melvin (Irene) Kortum. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 3:00 – 9:00 P.M. at First Reformed Church of South Holland, 15924 South Park Ave. South Holland, IL. Funeral Service, Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at First Reformed Church with services conducted by Rev. Dr. Matt Waterstone. Mr. Kortum was a 52 year member of the South Holland Fire Department and was an Assistant Chief. He was retired from NICOR and was a veteran of the National Guard.
