William “Bill” H. Verkaik, age 80, of South Holland, IL passed away, Monday, July 13, 2020.  Beloved husband of Carole Verkaik, nee Kansfield.  Loving father of Ken (Linda) Verkaik and Kari (Dennis) Todaro.  Devoted grandfather of Doug (Joy) Verkaik, Jill (Hector) Sanchez and John Elliot (Xuan) Todaro and great-grandfather of A.J. and Lydia.  Dear brother of the late Rev. Harris (Jane) Verkaik, late Marsha Lindberg, and the late Hank (Chila) Verkaik.  Preceded in death by his parents Harry and Anne(nee Anker) Verkaik.  Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M.  at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162 ^nd St. (Rt.6/159 ^th St.) South Holland, IL.
