William D. "Bill" Palm

William D. “Bill” Palm, age 60, suddenly, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022.  Loving husband of Pamela S. Palm, nee DeVries.  Devoted father of Becky Palm, Jessica (fiancé A.J.) Palm, and Nicholas (fiancée Emily) Palm. Beloved son of Betty and the late Richard Palm.  Dear brother of Jeanine (Gill) Evers and Jerry Palm.  Kind uncle of nieces and nephews.

"Bill was a hard-worker, skilled craftsman, loving father and husband, and a huge sports fan. From always working on home improvement projects with his wife, to making it to every sporting event for his children. He was a selfless man who would do anything for anyone around him. When he wasn’t building something, he was watching the Chicago Bears or White Sox. He served faithfully for the Glenwood Fire Department for 30+ years."

Visitation Friday, September 2, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN, with Rev. Kevin DeVries officiating.  Interment Memory Lane Memorial Park Cemetery – Schererville, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (P.O. Drawer 498 Emmitsburg, MD 21727) appreciated.
