William J. "Bill" Targos

William J. “Bill” Targos, age 60, suddenly, late of Hammond, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024.  Loving father of Carol Targos and Brandon (Devin Head) Targos. Step-father of Danny and Steve Walsh, Jessica (Ryan) Platt and Krystal (Clemins) Gizynski. Proud grandfather of Kaylynn.  Devoted son of Patricia and the late Frank Targos.  Dearest brother of Deborah (Ray) Roop.  Dear uncle and cousin of many.

Bill was the successful founder and owner of Lightning Electric which he established over 40 years ago.  Bill was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home James E. Janusz, Director 2121 Pleasant Spring Lane (Rt.30/{Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN, with Rev. Andy Nearpass officiating.  Interment Historic Maplewood Cemetery – Crown Point, IN.
