Wilmina Lanting

Wilmina Lanting, nee Rutgers, age 99, of South Holland, IL, was taken  to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 26, 2020.  She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. George Lanting; loving mother of the late Ruth Lanting, James (Jan) Lanting, David (Jan) Lanting, William (Jan) Lanting, Lammert George Lanting, Daniel Lanting, Jeanne (Tom) Venhuizen, Philip Lanting, Mary (Ed) Stouwie and Steven (Ashley) Lanting; grandmother of 34 and great-grandmother of 42; sister of the late Harry (late Sue) Rutgers, late Tillie (late Jacob) Fisher, late Hilda (late Henry) Zandstra, late William Rutgers, late Rena (late Jacob) Regnerus, Connie (George) Vroom, late Emma (Martin) DeVries, late Joan (late William) Buiter; sister-in-law to the late Josie (late Peter) Koole, late Alice (late Peter) Knott, late Gertie Lanting, Jeannette (late John) DeVries.

Wilmina was born on February 21, 1921 in Sanborn, Iowa, the daughter of Emko and Jennie Rutgers.  She was a member of Crete Protestant Reformed Church.

Visitation with family will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m., at Crete Protestant Reformed Church (1777 E Richton Rd., Crete IL 60417) followed by the funeral in the sanctuary at 2:00 P.M. with services conducted by Rev. Nathan Langerak.  Interment, 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing IL.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Protestant Reformed Churches - Emeritus Fund.
