Lafona M. Smith, age 83 of Steger, IL, passed away peacefully January 15, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Orval Smith. Loving mother of Jeffery (Kimberly) Smith, Timothy (Christina) Smith, Robert (Crystal) Smith and the late James Smith. Cherished grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 13 and great-great-grandmother of three. Dear sister of Barbara Yacono, Phyllis Jepperson, Joyce (Buster) Clifford, Ernest Greene and Herbert (Charlotte) Greene. Lafona was preceded by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
